It’s fair to say sales people have not always had the highest professional image. We don’t have to look very far for stereotypes of slippery sales people being economical with the truth and sweet talking their way out of tricky client situations.
Whilst every sales role is slightly different, we believe there are a set of core standards that apply to just about all roles. That’s the purpose of the sales manifesto – a set of core standards to guide our sales behaviour in sales situations.
They are “open source”, meaning you are free to use them as you want without restriction.
-Assessing yourself and finding areas to develop
-Comparing yourself against the benchmark
-Assessing members of your sales team
-Guiding recruitment initiatives
-Forming the basis of competency profiles
-Designing training programmes
